The agency provides residential treatment for drug abuse for adults, age 18 and older.
Services included:
Allen House, a residential drug abuse treatment program and Grace's Place, a transitional facility for female ex-offenders with children younger than 6 years. The transitional program primarily serves homeless people and minority populations, though anyone is eligible for service. The program is unable to accommodate people who are non-ambulatory, have a mental condition that would limit program participation, and applicants must be able to read and write at a third grade level. There are no geographic restrictions. The residential drug abuse treatment program is a six month program and includes individual and group counseling, services for people with dual diagnosis, alcohol, drug and HIV/AIDS education, physical fitness activities, and mandatory attendance of twelve-step mutual support groups. New residents are restricted from outside calls or visitors, and must earn these privileges by working within the program. A sober living facility is available for graduates of the residential treatment program. APPLICATION PROCEDURECall to apply. An appointment is required. All applicants must attend an intake meeting and have a social security card or a California ID card. Ex-offenders are referred by the Department of Corrections.
