The agency provides sober living services for men age 18 and older who live in Los Angeles.
Services include sober living centers.
Applicants must be clean and sober; there is a standard sobriety period for acceptance into the program.
Services are provided at four locations; see site list for details. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.
Individuals live in shared facilities and participate in the operation of the home, relapse prevention training, employment workshops, recreational activities, and support groups.
All services are based on the social model principles of recovery which emphasize peer support and 12-step involvement.
The sober living center provides a sober living environment for men who are clean and sober for a designated time period of sobriety.
Applicants must be employed. Staff provide relapse prevention training and employment workshops.
Peer support is encouraged and support groups are available.
Residents interact with residents in the alcohol recovery program.
The sober living centers for recovering alcoholics include the Culver Vista Recovery Center for men, the Santa Monica Recovery Center for men and women, the Venice Recovery Center for men, and Women With Children Living Center for women and their children.
All of the sober living centers require weekly attendance of twelve-step meetings, house meetings, and participation in daily house chores.
Fees are based on a sliding scale that generally starts at $350.
