PEOPLE IN PROGRESS, INC. Services are provided Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day. Intake is available Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm. The agency provides residential treatment for alcohol and drug abuse for men who live in Los Angeles County. Services include a residential treatment program and a sober living home. Applicants for the residential program must have at least 24 hours of sobriety. Applicants for the sober living home must have at least three months of sobriety and be fully ambulatory. There are no geographic restrictions. The residential treatment program is a six-month program which provides counseling, alcohol education, recreational activities and twelve-step meetings. During the initial part of the treatment, residents must remain at the program facility except when going on program outings. As residents move further into the program, privileges are earned. The sober living home provides an alcohol-free environment for men who have completed a residential recovery program. Residents must attend twelve-step meetings while living at the facility. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCEFees are set on a sliding scale based on income; no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
