Christ House Drug and Alcohol TreatmentPatients at Christ House struggling with substance abuse are given the opportunity to participate in their New Day Treatment Program. This 12-week, intensive, in-house recovery program was initiated in 2000 and is led by their Certified Addictions Counselor (Level II). When medically appropriate, patients may be referred for outside long-term substance abuse treatment. Members of their Kairos Program meet weekly with theirĀ addictions staff. Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held four times each week here at Christ House and are open to the community. The mission of Christ House is to provide comprehensive health care to sick, homeless men and women from the District of Columbia, and to assist them in addressing critical issues to help break the cycle of homelessness.
