Citrus County Dependency Drug Court is a joint effort by the Dependency Court, the treatment providers, the Guardian Ad Litem program, DCF, and Kids Central to help the individual who has a drug/alcohol problem and is involved with Dependency Court.
Through rehabilitation, their goal is to return parents to the community with skills and commitment to a better life for themselves and their families.
This is a four phase program.
Drug Court or Court Alternatives is an option to the person addicted to mood altering substances.
It is a program of 12-24 months long providing treatment and close supervision to help with rehabilitation.
It is a structured, holistic approach designed to help the client achieve the highest possible level of functioning.
The cost of the program is the sole responsibility of the participant.
They are part of a solution for the people who have exhausted many of their options in the legal system.
