Turn Around is a residential recovery community furnishing a supportive structured living environment for people suffering from the disease of addiction.
Turn Around is fully approved by Georgia Department of Human Resources, meeting all government standards for residential board and care occupants.
Turn Around's philosophy is to educate the chemically dependent consumer and assist in providing a manner of living which he/she can remain free of all addictive mood altering substances.
All residents are required to adhere to curfews, random drug and alcohol screenings, participate in three groups per week as well as daily 12-step meetings, such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous.
The minimum length of stay is six months, however, residents participation and progress determines the completion time of the program.
Turn Around requires residents to seek gainful employment unless physical or mental disabilities prevent a resident from doing so.
The Turn Around program was founded in 1983 and is a culmination of ideas and experiences of several people actively participating in 12-step programs of recovery.
Their staff has found that the principles and theories found in 12-step fellowships integrated with a structured living environment greatly enhances the individuals chance of recovery.
They at Turn Around recognize the disease of addiction affects the addict physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
The success of any recovery program lies in daily commitment to 12-step programs.
They believe that regular attendance of 90 meetings in 90 days and practicing the principles of these programs sets the foundation for success.
Turn Around staff is available to assist in the guidance and teaching of practical application of the 12-step principles in daily living.
They believe in the enhancement of spiritual growth.
The programs of A.A. and N.A. teach that there will come a time when nothing will stand between an addict and a drink or drug except the relationship with a higher power.
