Outreach House in Brentwood, Long Island was designed from the ground up with the needs of adolescents in mind.
Opened in 1992, the 36,000 square-foot facility (which includes a full sized gymnasium) has a residential capacity of 50 adolescents.
Outreach House provides residential chemical dependency treatment services for adolescents, 12 to 17 years of age.
The comprehensive program design has been specifically tailored and enhanced over the years to meet the needs of the adolescents and families that they serve, incorporating family, vocational/educational, health, recreational and aftercare services into the mainstream of programming.
Through a self-help model, the programs utilize positive peer pressure, along with an organized work structure, vocational/life skills preparation and individual introspection to challenge and equip the adolescents with the tools and skills to assist them in a drug-free lifestyle.
