A client must be determined eligible for Medicaid (e.g., meet income requirements, and provide proof of citizenship and identity) to receive Medicaid-funded SUD treatment services.
A client must receive an assessment from a Medicaid-enrolled chemical dependency treatment facility licensed by the Department of State Health Services to receive treatment.
INTAKE PROCEDURE:
Client may self-refer or be referred to receive an assessment. No referral from a primary care physician or prior authorization is needed for an assessment. For Star and Star+ clients, call client hotline printed on health plan ID card; if unknown, call main # at 800-252-8263. For PCCM clients, call PCCM helpline at 888-302-6688.
